Make Money Blogging.

by Ed on 17th December 2007

Anyone can make money from blogging. The primary models for money-making blogging activity are:

(1) Get paid to advertise third party products and services.

(2) Advertise your own products and services.

(3) Both of the above.

Blogs like this one are point & click simple to create. There’s no technical wizardry involved, so the issue is more about which of the three blogging models you choose.

The first option, selling advertising, is the quickest way to start making money.

You simply pick a theme or topic to blog about and register with one or more online advertising programmes.

After installing some code on your blog (again easy to do) you then start getting paid each time someone clicks the adverts.

Probably the easiest and most well known of the paid advertising programmes is Google Adsense.

In theory, with basic guidance anyone can be up and running and generating Google Adsense advertising revenues in less than 24 hours.

But take note I said ‘in theory’. Because to make money with AdSense you need people to click the adverts. And to get clicks, your web site needs traffic. LOTS of traffic if you want to earn anything worthwhile.

Which brings me onto the second blog money-making option.

Using your blog as a place to promote your own products and services is a lot more involved, but the rewards can be far greater.

It usually takes more time before revenues start flowing. But when they do, they can greatly exceed the sometimes pitiful payouts you get from Google Adsense and the other online advertising programmes.

For most business owners the decision is simple. You advertise your own products and services.

But what if you don’t have your business or any products and services? Does that mean you have to go down the AdSense route?

NO, absolutely not.

These days it’s easy to create your own information products in the form of e-books, audio CDs and MP3 downloads, or even DVDs and online video by recording your computer screen, or even yourself.

In fact I’d recommend anyone with a blog, business owner or not, creates information products. It’s one of the fastest ways of gaining recognition as an expert, and is a fast way of adding passive income to your cashflow.

And if you don’t have a blog, my blogging course explains how to create one without any outside help, and be online in less than 24 hours.
