<description>Hi Shuaib - thx for the great feedback.

Yes I feel the same about reading books directly off the screen - I too much prefer the tactile feedback, portability and non-glare of a good old paperback.

To this end, yes the printlock was my deliberate attempt to save Amazonion rainforests from needless destruction! Because everyone who received the PDF will be getting the proper paperback copy version of the book within the next 2 -3 weeks or so anyway... the PDF was only given as an &#039;on screen stop gap&#039; in the meantime.

Contributing to this factor, the book was typeset in a much less than A4 size which mean that printing it would leave a large white border on every A4 sheet of paper resulting in even more waste -and complaints about me not catering for printing on A4 - which I got when I released my last book as a printable PDF. (It really is true... no good deed goes unpunished!! :-)

Anyway, I hope this answers your question and again, thanks for the great feedback.

All my best,
Ed.</description>

		<description>Hi Ed

Firstly can I publicly say &quot;Thank You&quot; for writing this book and giving it away to your blog-readers for the cost of the postage.

Now a quick update/feedback: I tried reading the book on-screen a couple of times but kept getting interrupted at work (however what I read so far was all good obviously!), so yesterday I decided to print it off (rather than wait for the hard copy which should arrive in due course), so that I can read it as leisure maybe as some bedtime reading.

That&#039;s when I realised the PDF has a print lock or something and so couldn&#039;t be printed.

So in answer to your follow-up email &quot;Have you read the book yet?&quot;, the answer is &quot;Yes, tried couple of times on-screen, but didn&#039;t get as far as I would have have reading it on-paper (or on-hand?)&quot;.

Dunno if other blog-readers also share that sentiment.

You probably had a good reason for having the print lock but hope that helps as feedback for the future, and once again thanks for writing a fantastic (of what I&#039;ve &#039;scanned&#039; so far) and much-needed book on the subject.

		<description>;-)
Don&#039;t want to go into a language discussion here, but cleaner wouldn&#039;t be my first choice of words. Although: if something is clean it is pretty, nice and even beautiful. ;-)
And we all know how languages are related one time or another: schoon sounds like the German word sho&quot;n (umlaut not available here), which would bring me to the history of why the people of The Netherlands are called Dutch (from the old language &quot;Diets&quot;)

But we are supposed to talk about email marketing and the positive effect it can have on the bottom line of any business, schoon or not ;-) That&#039;s as &quot;klaar as &#039;n klontje&quot;.

		<description>Karin,

According to Google Translate: &quot;The later the evening, the Cleaner the people!&quot;

MY fault for asking for Double-Dutch!

And yes I agree, the intro bit of the book (In Memoriam to the Company who didn&#039;t appear to care) is hilarious, if also highly relevant to the subject of the book.

I also note you are a featured company in the book, congratulations!

		<description>Hey Karin,

I think something similar happened the last time (the BSTs getting confused with the GMTs or summat).

But worth the wait, or as we say in Urdu: Aap Der Se Aye, Lekin Durst Aye (&quot; You arrived late, but you arrived right!&quot; - nearest translation)

Karin do you want to venture a Double-Dutch version of that? LOL

<description>Love the intro of your book ;-)

(Like I said: worth the wait - and your webclock is still, make that already, in Winter)

		<description>Tick - tock - tick - tock

automation isn&#039;t everything ;-) Eagerly waiting, drumming my fingers on my desk in anticipation of things to come. sure it&#039;s worth the wait (or are you already on Winter Time)?
