Production work on my next major product, Landing Page Power, is well underway.
I’ve raised the bar on production values with this one. Rather than the slideshow style presentations that feature in my earlier products, I’ve decided to go ‘live’.
I’ve been using a great product (Adobe Visual Communicator) — that allows me to create live recordings with an on-screen teleprompter and apply green screen effects at the same time.
Here’s a shot of me in production. See if you can spot the green screen…

I’ve had quite a steep learning curve with this one — not so much with the software but with the extra equipment and setting up the environment.
However, I’m delighted with the results, and I know the quality of my products will be significantly higher in future.
Video is already being touted as ‘the next best thing’ on the Internet.
I usually ignore hype — loathe it in fact. But this time I agree… video is already proving very effective in terms of getting extra sales and conversions on web sites, and I’ll release some split-test statistics on my blog soon that demonstrate how many more sales you can achieve simply by adding video to the mix.
As a result of this experience I’m also planning to create an upgrade pack for my Shrink Wrap Your Brain! programme.
The “Green Screen Edition” will explain exactly how to create your own green screen information products, including the equipment required, especially what kind of camera works best, how to arrange your home or office studio including how to light the scene correctly, and how to prepare your script.
I’ll get onto that product as soon as Landing Page Power is finished.
I’m finding the challenge when you start creating information products based on a subject you’re passionate about is not generating ideas for new products… it’s actually staying focused on the one you’re creating long enough to complete it!
If you have any mental block on what product to create, just do something… anything to start the process. I guarantee before you finish your first information product you’ll be bubbling with ideas for more.
Anyway, gotta dash… Hollywood’s calling.
