Joint Venture with me?

One of the most common types of emails I get is from people wanting me to promote their products and services. Unfortunately, I have to decline most offers.

If you want to J.V. with me, please read the following carefully before making contact, it’ll save us both time. Thanks.

If you have a quality product or service which you feel complements my own, and think it would benefit my customers and clients I’d love to hear from you.

However, before contacting me please note…

  • I’m currently only interested in reciprocal arrangements, (where both parties promote to each other’s lists.)
  • I only promote established products and services that are already selling. (I will never promote brand new untested or unproven products and services to my customers).
  • I only JV with list owners. (So if you don’t have a permission based email marketing list comprising at least 200 active customers — people who have spent money with you within the last 12 months — then I will gracefully decline your offer at the moment, but please do get in touch once you’ve invested enough time and money to grow a substantial customer base. ;)

Why do I have these criteria?

Well, you’d be amazed how many people in the past have asked me to “JV with them”, only to later admit they don’t actually have a list of their own. Or they’ve just created a brand new product which they haven’t started selling yet and want me to offer it to my list as guinea pigs. (No thanks!) Or they have a product relating health industry and want me to promote it to my list of customers who I only ever ‘talk marketing’ to. And so on.

I also usually find people who make an approach (a) forget to give me any reason WHY I should promote them to my list, and (b) they have not even bothered subscribing to my email newsletter to get a feel for what I do, so they don’t have a clue about me, my customers, or my products and services. It’s pretty dismal to be honest.

Now, with all that said, if you do have a decent (or large) email list of not only prospects but also paying customers and clients who open, read and take action on your emails then I’m all ears!
